When designing this calendar I wanted typography to be the focal point from the beginning.
I drew a couple of number shapes that I thought were interesting, but there was still something missing.
While looking through old sketches, I came across drawings of monkeys that I had once made. Bingo! I added the animals to the lettering, and that's how the graphic for the calendar came together.
